The Critics Choice Meet Ellie Patrikios

In 2021, Ellie’s acting career is about to take a turn with her leading role and her most challenging character yet in a film that’s about to hit the big screens! An American Widescreen Pictures’ feature, based on a true story ‘The Soul Eater’  has already bought together a large audience with the Italian media orchestrating the news of the film being directed by Italian celebrity and award-winning director, Stefano Milla.

Also in 2021, her audio biographical role of ballerina Vera Fredova in “Silent Life” starring legends such as; Sherilyn Fenn, Isabella Rossellini, Franco Nero, Terry Moore, Jack Osborne and directed by Vladislav Kozlov will premiere!

wartime Argostoli. The film starred Nicolas Cage, Penelope Cruz, Eirini Papas, John Hurt and Christian Bale amongst the enormous cast. Being bold she would go and introduce herself to the cast and crew and got to know them quite well (telling Penelope Cruz to the extent they would beckon her over for photographs and little chats about what they were doing. Ellieʼs mind was set, like many other little girls with the same dream, she was GOING to be an actress and entertain the world. From where she was at the time it seemed like a very far off, if not impossible ambition! Who would have thought that her childhood dreams would actually turn into reality?

“During the fall of next year, I’ll be in production for the feature film “Copperhead Road” which will be directed by two-time award-winning “Best Director” writer, editor Ryan Gregory Phillips, who’s latest feature “Shortwave” garnered a staggering 23 nominations and 18 wins over a six-month festival run before being picked up by Sony Pictures & Vega Baby Releasing for distribution.

In 2022 I will be working on a TV Series playing the lead role of femme fatale, Cami Falwkes, following the international success of the feature film “Gam Cam Grrl”. Riproring Productions is set to distribute this series on Amazon with Indie Rights Studio.

Patrikios continues to thrive in LA’s film industry, and yes, the best is yet to come!

Everyday uses of Music

Music

Music is an important part of our everyday life. People from around the world listen to music and even create music. Research shows that music has the power to affect our cognitive abilities and our emotions as well. Music is used by different people for different purposes, some use it to express themselves while others use it for personal satisfaction.

The value that music holds in your life depends upon the uses you make out of it and your level of engagement with the same. Some people who are involved in music, for example, singers, instrumentalists, etc. think of it as their worship. They are completely dedicated to the art and constantly try to make it better. But not everyone is that involved in music. We all like to listen to songs and even hum along with some, but that is generally according to our convenience. This is what makes it relaxing and therapeutic. Music is used in a lot of yoga sessions and meditations. It helps people to calm down and focus on positive energy. In fact, a lot of people listen to music while sleeping to have better sleep.

Don’t we all love to have a good song in the background while we do our chores? Having a hot cup of coffee on a chilly winter morning along with your favorite tune in your ears is simply bliss. The effect that music can have on our mental health is extraordinary. This is why a lot of parents today prefer to put their children in some kind of music lesson so that they have something relaxing in their lives. Not only children, a lot of adults as well are opting for music lessons since it is calming yet intriguing. You get to learn new things and access your creative side. This is why music lessons are becoming increasingly famous amongst the millennial population.

Be it singing, listening, or playing an instrument all of these are equally rewarding. Listening to music leads our brain to release the happy hormones which make us happier. When it comes to singing, people are hesitant to sing but don’t we all sing our hearts out in the shower? This is a kind of catharsis and leaves you in a very good mood. People suffer from anxiety and depression; music can help you in your journey of healing. You can use music to express your emotions or to vent out your feelings.

Without music, our life would simply be incomplete. There won’t be any tunes to hum along, there won’t be any songs to dance on and there won’t be any melodies which will help us to sleep. Therefore, we can say that music not only has immense benefits but is also essential for our lives. We should appreciate it and try to engage with music more in our everyday lives to have a better living.

Trumpet lesson teacher develops most successful system to play high notes in history

Trumpet lesson

GLENDALE, Ariz. – Aug. 21, 2014 – PRLog — Kurt Thompson, international trumpet lesson teacher, has developed an incredible system for improving once impossible high notes for most trumpet players. His Course: 16-week brass upper register course began being tested on various trumpet students of all levels during the summer of 2008. At that time, the course included only 50 unique high note building techniques. There is a need for a high note course like this because playing notes above high c and beyond have been an impossible task for most trumpet players regardless of level or experience. Also, all prior high note methods provided only inconsistent and marginal results to the aspiring trumpet student.

Says Kurt Thompson: “As a developing trumpet player in high school and college, I found it very, very frustrating that no trumpet teacher could effectively help me get better at increasing my high range on trumpet. As a kid, I didn’t realize it at the time, but these professional trumpet teachers, themselves, had not achieved an impressive upper register on trumpet so logically, how could they show me the path to high note success?”

Kurt continues: “Thus began my long journey of trial and error and experimentation with existing high note trumpet methods like Claude Gordon’s “Systematic Approach To Daily Practice” and Louis Maggio’s “System For Brass”. Between experimenting and improving these existing trumpet methods plus inventing and discovering my own trumpet techniques, I slowly, but surely began to expand my high range in an impressive way as exemplified in my performance of Maynard Ferguson’s trumpet solo, Gabriel.”

Please see the live recording of a then-college student, Kurt Thompson, performing Maynard Ferguson’s trumpet solo at youtube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ff_goOFUcyc

Fast forward to the present time: Kurt Thompson’s 16-week brass upper register course currently contains 75 unique high note building techniques. Watch Kurt demonstrate the most difficult high note technique out of the 75 that are in his 16-week course. Skeptics may wonder what makes this trumpet embouchure method different from any other course. The answer is two reasons:

1) Momentum

2) Macroscopic or “shot gun” approach

According to Kurt, when you take 75 techniques that impact a trumpeter’s embouchure from multiple angles and directions and then infuse these techniques with momentum, the results are magnificent and almost beyond belief.

Kurt has taught this amazing trumpet course to hundreds of trumpet players. Many have been so ecstatic at the results of his course that they left video reviews talking and demonstrating their high note success:

While testing this trumpet course years ago, he began trying it out on other brass players. Trombone, Euphonium, French Horn, and Baritone players began to experience the same impressive results in gaining high notes as did trumpet players.

Recently, 2 high profile trumpet players, Bill Ortiz of the Carlos Santana Band and Dave C. Norman, famed L.A. freelance trumpet player, participated in Kurt’s upper register course giving the course rave reviews in both written as well as video format.
