Egypt with Tourist e-Visa

For tourists who have visited Egypt at least once, it is no secret that entry to the territory of this country is possible only with a visa. There are two options for obtaining an Egypt visa:

– Getting a “visa on arrival”. The process is as follows: upon arrival in Egypt, you need to go to the VISA window, pay the fee, and get a visa.

– Since November 2017, the Egyptian authorities have introduced an electronic visa or e-visa.

Electronic visa to Egypt – a new online system for issuing entry permits to foreigners. You can get it quickly and with ease on Natvisa.com. All you need is a laptop, a passport valid for 6 months, a bank card, and a few minutes of your precious time.

The new online permit system was introduced by the Egyptian authorities to simplify tourist entrance to the country. You can quickly apply for a single and multiple e-visa in advance within 1-3 days on the website https://natvisa.com/egypt-visa.

Nationalities Allowed Egypt eVisa

Citizens of the following countries are eligible for an Egypt e-visa: United States, Australia, Canada, United Kingdom, Ireland, France, Switzerland, Germany, Austria, Italy, Russia, Ukraine, Belgium, Netherlands, Luxembourg, Monaco, Norway, Sweden, Finland, Denmark, Iceland, Portugal, Spain, Poland, Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria, Slovakia, Czech Republic, Serbia, Croatia, Slovenia, Macedonia, Montenegro, Albania, Greece, Cyprus, Malta, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Moldova, Japan, South Korea, North Korea, and the Vatican.

The list of countries may be updated, so double-check the information on the Natvisa website immediately before your trip.

Gather Your Documents

To obtain an e-visa, you do not need to visit the Egyptian Embassy in your country. The traveler must provide a minimum package of documents and meet a few simple requirements. All foreign citizens entering Egypt with an electronic visa must:

1. Be a citizen of a country that is eligible for an e-visa (see the section above).

2. Have a passport that is valid for at least 6 months from the date of entry into the country.

3. Have a credit or debit card to pay for the visa service online.

To apply for an Egypt e-visa, children who have their own passport must submit separate applications.

Apply Online With Natvisa

Steps of applying for an electronic visa to Egypt:

1) Applying for an e-visa.

All information must correspond exactly to the passport data. Otherwise, the application is considered invalid. Unfilled and unpaid applications are automatically deleted one week after they are submitted.

When filling out the online form, you must answer the following questions:

– Choose the type of visa: single or multiple, the cost of the visa depends on it.

– Select the country of departure.

– Select the planned arrival date. It must occur within 90 days from the moment of registration of the electronic pass.

– Select the planned departure date.

– Enter your first and last name (if the last name is not specified in the passport, this field can be left empty).

– Specify the gender.

– Specify the date and place of birth.

– Answer the question about second citizenship.

– Choose your marital status.

– Select the type of passport (no other passports except regular ones, as well as ID cards are accepted).

– Enter the passport ID without spaces.

– Specify the validity period of the passport.

– Answer a question about previous visits to Egypt. If the answer is positive, the start and end dates of the trips must be indicated. You must also specify the address where you were located during your trip.

– Answer a question about deportation from Egypt or another country. If the answer is “yes”, you must specify the State, date, and reason for the deportation.

– Specify your email address and phone number.

2) Processing of the application.

The application is processed immediately after the visa fee is paid. After processing the application, a letter is sent to the traveler’s email address. It indicates the current status of the application. The traveler can also independently monitor this process through the Natvisa website.

Remember that the refusal to issue an e-visa can be made without explaining the reasons. It is also worth considering that the Egypt Visa Online is issued only for the purpose of tourism. It is an offense to engage in work without a permit.

Tourists who do not want to use this innovation can still get a pass on arrival in Egypt, at the airport.

The validity of Tourist Egypt eVisa

There is a single-entry and multiple-entry electronic visa to Egypt. The first one allows you to enter the country once and stay in it for 30 days. The second one allows the traveler to enter the country several times within three months, while the total number of days should not exceed 30 days.

Covid-19 Entry Restrictions

The epidemiological situation in Egypt is improving in 2021. Anti-Covid vaccination on a mass scale in Egypt has not yet begun, and its start has not yet been announced. Egypt already received 50,000 doses of the Sinopharm vaccine from the UAE as a gift at the beginning of the year, and the authorities are now vaccinating health workers.

Anyone arriving at airports in Egypt must have negative results of a PCR test for COVID-19 for no more than 72 hours before departure. There are a number of conditions for those who plan to visit Egypt on an e-visa with test results:

– The test duration is calculated as the difference between the time of sample collection in the laboratory and the departure of the flight to Egypt.

– Children under 6 years of age are exempt from taking this test.

– The test result is accepted only in printed form with the laboratory seal. It is not accepted in electronic form, SMS messages are not accepted. There should be no corrections in the document;

– The test result is only accepted in Arabic or English. NOT accepted in Russian;

– The Covid test result must accurately indicate the date and time of the biomaterial collection, as well as the type of sample;

– The test result should accurately indicate the type of test – PCR.

For tourists arriving at resorts, there is an exception. This exception is made only for those arriving by direct flights (without connecting in Egypt) to the airports of Hurghada, Sharm el-Sheikh, Marsa Alam, and Taba. In this case, everyone can take a test in the airport building.
