Unkle Ricky is no stranger to the music industry, hailing from Perth Australia he has acquired all the skills to become the next greatest influence of our time in music.

It’s an honor to speak with you today.

Why don’t you give us some details about you and your story. How did you get to where you are today? *

Thanks!! I appreciate the support. I found an interest in music production after catching up with an old high school friend and asking him to teach me an instrument as I hadn’t touched any music for years. I got a laptop and downloaded Ableton and I was immediately hooked.

I’m sure your success has not come easily. What challenges have you had to overcome along the way? *

I can’t think of anything in particular, I just find this kind of work forces you to introspect and push yourself outside of your comfort zone constantly. You really have no idea what you’re getting into when you start, every time you climb a hill you find another mountain. The greatest thing is you find many great people along the journey facing the same hurdles.

Let’s talk about the work you do. What do you specialize in and why should someone work with you over the competition? *

I believe it’s about the whole experience the artist has making a record. There are a lot of talented producers and engineers and many that are more than qualified at making a great song. Personally, I like to make an artist feel at ease to be 100 percent themselves and say some things they wouldn’t normally be comfortable saying on record. I find consumers can connect with it on a deeper level and it’s a lot of fun in the process too.

What’s your best piece of advice for readers who desire to find success in their life? *

Try and get out of your head a little and enjoy the moment. It’s about coming up with a plan for what you want to achieve and doing the reps, not constantly focusing on the end and beating yourself up.

Speaking of success, what does the word mean to you? *

Personally I’d say financial freedoms and access. I want to experience as much as I can from life and being successful in my field can open a lot of doors to that. It’s also important that the people around me are also winning so we can experience it all together.

What’s next for you? *

Plenty of great releases planned for 2021. We have some quite controversial and exciting music video concepts that I’m particularly looking forward to executing.
