The golden rule is never to purchase a snake based on an existing snake rack. It is not the snake that you must adapt to your snake rack, but your snake rack must correspond to the size of the animal and the specific needs of its species.

The first thing to take into account is the dimensions of the snake rack to ensure that your snake has enough space to move around. For a crawling snake you should focus on the width and length of the snake rack because it will especially need a lot of floor space. For an arboreal snake, favor the height of the snake rack.

Obviously, think immediately to plan the dimensions of snake rack adapted to the adult size of your species. But beware of young snakes: it is not recommended to accommodate them in snake racks that are too large! Indeed, small snakes stress quite easily if they have too much space and will feed less well.
After choosing the snake rack, you will have to take care of its layout (hiding places, climbing supports if your snake is arboreal, substrate) and its heating equipment as well as lighting. Advice from specialists will be necessary to properly start up your first snake’s snake rack.

Things you need to know about temp gun

When the winter period brings its share of epidemics and the organism is affected, this often results in fever accompanied by symptoms: chills, body aches, icy hot, intense thirst, increased heart rate, fatigue, headaches. If so, now is the time to sit down and check if you have a fever. For this you will need a temp gun. Indeed, if these signs undoubtedly announce the appearance of fever, it is important to check it by taking the temperature of the body.Any abnormal temperature is worth monitoring and this will allow the doctor to make a diagnosis if symptoms persist. The Normal body temperature averages 37 ° C , however, it can vary between 36.5 ° C and 37.5 ° C depending on the individual. But you will understand, taking your temp gun with a temp gun is essential.

The best radiant heat panels.

The radiant heat panels that is absorbed by the objects is then released back to our body without having any physical contact. The best example of infrared heating is the sun. The sun produces infrared radiation and its invisible rays are transformed into heat when they are absorbed by objects (fixed or not). In winter, the position of the sun prevents the diffusion of the same infrared spectrum. It is therefore the drop in radiation towards the objects that causes the drop in temperature. It is therefore easy to understand that 18 ° C in winter will be felt as colder than 18 ° C in summer. It is on this scientific basis that we decided to offer wall or ceiling heating. While we are a strong advocate for underfloor heating, we have decided to add radiant heat panels.

Why reptile heat lamp is necessary?

You must have enough space to set up your reptile’s terrarium. So, if you live in a tiny apartment, avoid choosing a large adult reptile or a baby that will grow too large over time. To keep your pet happy and healthy, choose a reptile heat lamp that is spacious enough for them to roam, hide and feed at their ease. Some reptiles, like snakes, grow their entire lives when they are well fed and housed: will you have the ability (and the means) to change terrariums multiple times?

Unlike dogs, cats and ferrets in particular, reptiles rarely roam freely in housing. So, if you want to get yours out and handle it, choose a sociable species – geckos, among others, love to get caught. Also, if you want to interact with your reptile hides during the day, avoid nocturnal species, otherwise you’ll be spending your time watching them sleep! On a related note, if you have young children, consider that they might clumsily handle the animal and get bitten, for example. Better to wait until they are more mature to let them play with a reptile.

What to Feed Your Gecko.

Most geckos do best eating live prey. Unlike dogs and cats, geckos don’t generally do well eating pre-packaged kibble or prepared gecko food. That means you’ll need to purchase or breed live insects to feed your gecko.

Feed your insectivorous geckos a variety of insects. Relying too heavily on one type of insect will not give your gecko a complete diet.

Crickets: These critters will form the backbone of most pet gecko diets. That’s not because they’re the healthiest—it’s just because they’re easiest to purchase or raise at home.

Mealworms: Mealworms are another main staple for leopard geckos, though they might be too large for some house geckos.

Wax worms and Superworms: These insects are very rich. Use them as special treats and only offer them once a week or so.

Flies: These little guys are perfect for small geckos like house geckos. Fruit flies are usually easiest to find for purchase.
