Fashion was on display at the “So You Want To Be A Rockstar?” themed Christmas event held in Palm Springs last weekend. Independent filmmakers — producer, directors P David Ebersole and Todd Hughes, present the chic holiday event annually. This year partygoers were given a choice by the hosts to go glam or go grunge
Sean Borg was barely recognizable when he showed up to celebrate the season of joy, channeling a “Sergeant Pepper,” Beatle. The former ‘TMZ on TV’ entertainment personality opted for a stylish late 1960’s retro ensemble in purple satin, somewhat resembling Paul McCartney, with a hint of Ringo Starr.
Film Producers’ Hughes and Ebersole coordinated their fancy dress to compliment each other. Hughes rocked the dancefloor as Freddie Mercury — an homage to the Oscar-winning ‘Queen’ biopic ‘Bohemian Rhapsody,’ and Ebersole went for a more low-key look, but still sparkled in a shimmering pink sports coat, jeans, and country and western style cowboy hat.
This year’s soiree was particularly exclusive, as it also marked the ongoing success of Ebersole and Hughes’ spectacular trendy flick — ‘House of Cardin’, which is catching the eyes of many. The feature documentary is a rare peek into the mind of a genius, an authorized feature documentary chronicling the life and design of Cardin.
‘House of Cardin’ is on course to do big things in 2020. The popular film is steadily building momentum; it has already won several awards with critics so far, giving it a huge thumbs up.
The no-expense-spared bash held in the Indian Canyons area of Palm Springs had revelers raving till the early hours of the morning. Also in attendance was creative producer Kellee McQuinn who channeled the late ‘Roxette’ Singer Marie Fredriksson and celebrity skincare expert Sabastian Reich who styled himself as a blonde “Trans neutral” Pocahontas in full Indian headdress.
House of Cardin is screening at the Palm Springs International Film Festival on Jan 6 and Jan 11, 2020. The 12-day festival of events and film screenings, which takes place Jan. 2–13, will feature screenings of 188 films from 81 countries, including 51 premieres.
