The Twenty20 Cricket Competition of the Pakistan Super League is not financially competing in terms of player payments for the lucrative Indian Premier League, but it is a dream for some cricketers to play in it. It is considered a way to resume full international cricket on home ground for the Pakistan Cricket Board. Nearly a decade ago, in Lahore, a terrorist attack on the team in Sri Lanka in 2009 led to the suspension, forcing the National Team to play the home games in the United Arab Emirates, of the global cricket. Cricket organizer in Pakistan also had no option but to organize the first whole edition of the UAE at the start of their T20 flagship tournament in 2016. But this began a step by step process to bring cricket from all over the world back to Pakistan, where cricket is the biggest sport. Lahore hosted the 2017 PSL Final to show that local security agencies can protect foreign players. During 2018, in Karachi, Pakistan’s greatest city, Lahore hosted two PSL playoff games prior to the final. Eight games were being played in both Lahore and Karachi during the 2019 edition was held in the UAE with all six franchises. The current Champion, Quetta Gladiators, won the title on 17 March at Karachi. The world looks forward to seeing by the Schedule of PSL 5 who the PSL5 champion, 2020 will be?

Pakistan Cricket Chairman Ehsan Mani wants complete edition hosted by Pakistan home grounds in 2020. Host of twenty-two different games against a World XI, Sri Lanka and the West Indies, Lahore and Karachi were focal points in pushing for more crickets on their home soil. Though the lack of upgrades to the stadiums in cities like Rawalpindi, Multan and Faisalabad, however, had hindered progress. Soon after cricketer-turned-politician Imran Khan, who is also the PCB’s boss, sworn in as Prime Minister, took Mani Pakistan’s top job. Mani is now looking for funding from the Khan government, to help us scratch the tanks. Mani said it was observed over 100 million people last year, and despite the economic situation in Pakistan, sponsorship and broadcast rights deals continue to rise rapidly. Mani is hopeful that another incident-free PSL will encourage international teams to Pakistan for complete international series later in the year.

Star Darren Sammy from West Indies who plays for Peshawar Zalmi, became Pakistan’s household name after winning 2017 final in Lahore and finishing in Karachi last year. Wasim Khan, the PCB Managing director, feels that it won’t be long before the test matches are hosted completely again in Pakistan. Others, like former Pakistani captain Ramiz Raja, now a TV analyst, suggested that PSL could make foreign players feel good.

The PSL is the perfect platform for Pakistani fans to see. The PSL season lasts from February to March.  Schedule of PSL 5: The top four teams with the best record qualify for the playoffs and culminate in the Championships, PSL Cup Final, in each team that plays double round-robin matches. The League is based in Lahore on the Pakistan Cricket Board. The first season was entirely played in the United Arab Emirates, because of security reasons. Islamabad United was the inaugural champions. The 2017 PSL Champions of Peshawar Zalmi defeated Quetta Gladiators on 5 March 2017 in Lahore. The 2018 PSL Champions were Islamabad United which, on 25 March 2018, beat Peshawar Zalmi. Quetta Gladiators is the current champions who won the title in Karachi on 17 March 2019. The world is keen to see, who will be the champion of PSL5, 2020. Outsiders think that Pakistan is a country of terror, it doesn’t actually. Here before there was a lot of safety and even more is beefed up. They should come, therefore, those who do not come.
