Paurah, aka Yah-Oadah Jenkins, is a 27-year-old recording artist from the Caribbean. Her impact on her island of St. Kitts has been felt for over 20 years. She started making music at the age of 7 and has now realized it is her time. Early on in life, she worked various teaching jobs and even in mortuary affairs. Her musical calling has always been her dream, and now she is going full force. Working around death has helped her tap into a darker sound with her music. Recently, she took a year-long sabbatical that left her without any connection to the outside world. This helped her create the musical genius you hear on her new single “Escape”. Her new single was created in tandem with her Production group named Sound Doctrine. Her first time writing music was for a funeral, and she’s been on a roll since.
