Fitness Guru Alex Guerrero Training Tom Brady and Rob Gronkowski for Buccaneers

Two longtime friends and teammates have reunited in Tampa after a long hiatus. Tom Brady and Rob Gronkowski will finally be training together again to play with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. And perhaps the best online personal trainer will watch over their preparations for the next season. Alex Guerrero, a legend in football and Brady’s friend and an associate will take the lead in getting both players ready for the tough football season ahead.

Fitness Training Master

The legend of Alex Guerrero goes back to when Tom Brady suffered from painful elbow tendonitis. After 3 championship Super Bowl wins, Brady was in a state of increasing pain that didn’t allow him to play at his best. This type of injury surely comes from straining the elbow after too many throws, but also from taking too many hits. That’s where Alex Guerrero came into the picture. His alternative style of treating athlete’s pain worked wonders on Brady, and their relationship blossomed.

But Guerrero isn’t just some run of the mill trainer with some wacky methods. He has a background in Chinese medicine and physical therapy, which undoubtedly influenced the way he thinks about injuries. Guerrero helped Brady with his tendonitis by treating his forearms and biceps with deep-tissue massages to release tension. This relieved a lot of the ache and Brady took the relationship to a new level.

Brady and Guerrero joined forces to create TB12, a Sports Therapy Center aimed at helping athletes be at their best. The center is conveniently located beside Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Massachusetts. Now, instead of looking for the best online personal trainer, athletes can come here and witness Guerrero’s style which has helped Brady win championships. He even backed his trainer’s methods in an interview saying: “I absolutely know 100 percent that it works, and the reality is I’m just a client who lives by the teachings.”

From Patriots to Buccaneers

In a recent post by Guerrero, he welcomed Rob Gronkowski to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers after trade by Brady’s request. At one point before the ‘Gronk’ retired, he swore never to play for any other quarterback besides Brady. The bromance between the two is a recipe for success many Buccaneers fans are anticipating. But it won’t be an easy road since Gronkowski recently retired from football after a less than a thrilling season. In an interview he talked about how he felt:

“I 100 percent lost a step (last year),” he said. “I actually lost like three steps some games. I didn’t even want to be out there on the field. I was like, ‘Yo, I feel like a complete a–. Coach put Dwayne (Allen) in, I don’t even care. ‘I was at that point.”

After that Gronk went into the next best thing– wrestling. He made his debut in WWE as a host and soon became integrated into the storyline. Most recently, he took the WWE 24/7 Championship by jumping off a balcony onto all the other wrestlers. This was a clever way to make him a main part of the storyline as he surely already has many fans. That’s when the rumors started. In an Instagram post by NFL Insider Leroy, a seemingly talking dog spilled the beans:

“Hearing a wild rumor that has serious legs. Rob Gronkowski is strongly considering returning to the NFL to play for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers with his old teammate Tom Brady. Has been training in Florida in addition to Wrestlemania. Please credit Leroy woof woof”

To which Rob responded simply saying:

“Wow, PFT Commenter, his dog is starting some crazy rumors out there. His dog Leroy, he’s gotta keep his dog quiet!”

Muscle Memory

Alex Guerrero will be working his magic on both Brady and Gronkowski to make sure they can perform at their best. Although, his secret to fitness training is not something other trainers particularly focus on. Guerrero focuses on muscle pliability and says it’s not about looking strong, but being strong:

“People might look at Tom and think that he’s not that strong, but he’s functionally very strong. It’s not all about having the biggest muscles, especially if you’re playing quarterback. The goal is to tell your body how you want it to function,” he said. “The deep tissue work and specific movement training hardwire your body for sustained excellence.”

There’s a lot to hope for with this all-star trainer, but the results have yet to be seen. While anybody can look for the best online personal trainer, Brady and Gronk have Guerrero which gives them a huge advantage.
