Multiple awards for quality Ayurveda products manufacturing
All Ayurvedic concoctions and preparations comprise a fine balance of herbs and shrubs that lend them their effectiveness in addressing various health conditions. Moreover, traditional preparation methods must be followed properly to prepare the concoctions.
Kerala Ayurveda Limited (KAL) has mastered these preparation techniques and has therefore been able to deliver highly efficient Ayurveda products across the globe. Presently, the company has three manufacturing units in Kerala from where the products are shipped across the world.
The Journey
KAL was founded in 1945 in Kerala and set-up its first manufacturing unit in 1948. The organization manufactured and distributed its Ayurvedic preparations across the state and then started distributing the products throughout the country. After receiving the encouraging response to its formulations, the company launched Ayurvedic Pharmacies in the 1960s from where different ayurvedic preparations were made readily available for the users. KAL started manufacturing Over the Counter (OTC) Ayurvedic products in 1965.
Now, the organization has over 350 classical & proprietary formulations which are manufactured with herbs, shrubs, and materials grown in-house at the thousands of acres of herbal farms owned by the company. The organization also has a herbal garden that leverages the beneficial effects of over 1200 medicinal herbs combined with its own manufacturing facilities and R & D centers.
KAL offers more than 350 Ayurvedic formulations that have been scientifically validated. The organization has filed patents on these preparations to protect its intellectual property that has gone into the development of these products. Various conditions that can be addressed with the products manufactured by the company include diabetes, respiratory disorders, skin care, eye care, bone health, pain management, cardiovascular disorders, and several other health conditions.
Award-winning manufacturing facilities
KAL has managed to win several awards over the years for its manufacturing capabilities. The organization won the Kerala State Award for Best Material Management Small Scale Industry in the year 1997 for its excellent quality products. More recently, KAL won the ASSOCHAM awards for Herbal Company of the Year in 2016; and the prestigious Make in India Emerging Entrepreneur Award in 2017 under Pharmaceuticals & Biotechnology Category.
The products prepared by KAL are known for their quality and efficiency, and that is why in the USA, the Ayurvedic preparations have been approved by the USFDA.
Over the 75 years of its existence, KAL has touched over a million lives and has helped the people understand the power of Ayurveda for overall wellness and wellbeing.
