Graduation:

Post-graduation level: 

  • To be eligible for appearing in entrance exam for PG, students must have secured 50% aggregate marks in their bachelor’s degree in an associated field from any recognized university. Students from non-related discipline can also join provided they possess the mandatory skill set essential for jewellery design.
  • Eligible candidates must clear their entrance exam followed by group discussion and personal interview round 
  • Basis the marks achieved in all three, the students are allowed admission.

Responsibilities 

  • Communicate, listen, and comprehend client’s requirements and basis this develop unique concepts and design sketches
  • Transform these design sketches into a presentable format utilizing drawing softwares like CAD etc. for client approvals. Once approved, these CAD designs can be used to collaborate & delegate responsibilities to teams from different departments.
  • He Identifies the apt techniques as well as appropriate materials including artificial stones as well as precious stones like rubies, gems, diamonds and emeralds etc.
  • He facilitates mounting of the designated gems (stones), jewellery framework is created
  • Decorative details are crafted via use of moulds, which is then followed by stamping & presswork.
  • Patterns and other details are drawn, soldered and fabricated on the metal surface
  • He ensures proper finishing through polishing 
  • He utilizes Electro-plating to ensure layering of base metal with precious metal
  • To create coloured patterns, he fuses powdered glass with metal by using enameling in a kiln
