There are other avenues for individuals from other countries to obtain visas, such as:

- through refugee and human trafficking programs
Individuals can also come to study, do research, or even come on a tourist visa to seek valid work opportunities.
The Green Card Lottery is a Pathway to Citizenship
The Green Card Lottery, officially known as the Diversity Visa (DV) Lottery, is not a direct pathway to U.S. citizenship. Winning the DV Lottery and obtaining a green card (lawful permanent residency) through the program is a significant step towards living and working in the United States legally, but it does not automatically grant citizenship. So if you want to improve your odds, make sure that you work with the right agency.
After winning the DV Lottery and receiving a green card, individuals become permanent residents of the United States. As permanent residents, they are allowed to live and work in the U.S. permanently and enjoy certain benefits, such as access to education, healthcare, and social security.
