However, the prices range considerably depending on the dates of the trip/vacation, operational costs, the type of vehicle or aircraft, landing and take-off fees of each airport, and country-specific taxes. “Aircraft charters can be as cost-effective as[Dh14,700] for a one-way flight on a four- or five-person light jet aircraft on a domestic route, or as expensive as [almost Dh2 million] for an international round-trip on a 12-person heavy jet,” says Nabil.

Comfort, meals, and entertainment can also go a long way in making a flight agreeable, but Aurae clients have much more expectations than that. “Catering on-board private aircraft is one of the most requested services that our clients ask, and we can factor in each guest’s gastronomical requirements too. They can design their own menu prior to the flight, or we can even have any kind of dish prepared by their favorite restaurants,” says Nabil Djabbari. “Some of the larger aircraft also have private showers, big-offices, and board rooms as well; iPad controlled lighting; and bedrooms partitioned off from the rest of the cabins. Moreover, the experience is nothing short of extraordinary.”

Also extraordinary are some of the requests that Secret Circle Concierge has received over the past two years. One client insisted on having a chef on board whose only task was just to prepare a meal for her cat; one requested that all cabin attendants and even the pilot should be dressed as characters from the DC comics series, and another demanded that the aircraft should be repainted to match their favorite colors and unique branding.

While private jets are usually built to hold up to 22 or so passengers, some clients charter the Airbus ACJ319, or Boeing 737 or Airbus A330, says Nabil. “Also these are essentially commercial airliner aircraft, which have been designed to cater to 20 to 32 people instead of the usual 300 to 350 passengers. Furthermore, these aircraft are considered to be flying palaces; many also have living rooms, dining rooms, couches, private rooms, and also on-board spas.”

Entertainment for kids
