Sean Borg had selfie-taking lessons from Kim Kardashian on the Red Carpet

Kim K gave Sean B a quick lesson from the red carpet on how to take perfect selfies

Hollywood is a magical place full of excitement and exciting people, and the only way most of us can experience Los Angeles and its glamour is through social media. It is thanks to these platforms we can enjoy and follow the lives of celebrities such as Kim Kardashian, Paris Hilton, and numerous other international stars we love.

Not many people can get close to Kim Kardashian, but well-known TV personality Sean Borg did. Not only that, but the “Trivago guy” was lucky enough even to have a quick lesson on how to take a perfect selfie on the red carpet posing with the Queen of social media herself – Kim K!

The Kardashian Sisters! Kim arrived at the premiere of ‘The Promise’ with sister Kourtney

It was in April 2017 when the British star attended the Hollywood premiere of Christian Bale’s movie — “The Promise.” Kim participated in the event with her younger sister Kourtney.

Sean, 52, told Best in AU: “I hadn’t seen Kim for years until that night. I met her through Paris Hilton well over a decade ago, and way before she was famous. It was back when I was working on the TV show, TMZ.”

Red Carpet Ready! Sean Borg on the press line at the premiere of “The Promise”

It was Sean’s distinctive British voice that featured on Kim, and Ray J’s infamous sex-tape news story released that same year that ran exclusively on TMZ — the very show that made Kim famous in Hollywood.

Sean recalled: “I would often bump into her with Paris at clubs like Hyde and Les Deux. She was always so sweet and down to earth. So it was nice to run into her at the film premiere.”

As Sean was walking the red carpet at the famous landmark venue — the TCL Chinese Theatre on Hollywood Boulevard, Kim arrived around the same time.

Sean continued, “It was mayhem on the press line, the photographers were calling out my name as was I posing for a few pictures, then I heard them shouting out ‘Kim, KIM,’ and as I turned around, there she was. She recognized me straight away and waved over at me.”

Sean continued: “I slowed down my pace along the press line so that Kim would catch up with me. I thought to myself, I had to have a selfie her. And why not!?”

Kim laughed at Sean’s first attempt at taking a selfies with her

As Kim, 39, approached Sean, she gave him a big grin and a long, “Heyyyyy.” Sean said: “Everyone was looking in our direction.” He then lifted his iPhone and asked Kim to pose for a picture.

Sean said: “She was cool about taking a picture with me and laughed at my first attempt, as it was so awful. Kim came out blurred in the picture. So she gave me a little direction on the second one. She told me to ‘hold the camera to the side for a better angle, and then slowly spin,’ until I found my best light. It worked! Well… Kim looks great in the picture, but me? — Um, not so much.”

Finally! Sean gets it right…Kim did an excellent job teaching Sean the art of selfie-taking on the quick

During Sean’s quick guide to perfect selfie-taking, he remembered that she also showed him how to hold the camera correctly. “She said, I had it down ‘big time’! ‘You’re good at this,’ she said.”

“Considering we only had a minute’s lesson to take the picture before media and autograph hunters besieged her, I think she did an excellent job in giving me advice.”

“I think I still look horrible in the pictures, but Kim looks great. And so she should. She is the Queen of selfies! Sometimes it can be challenging to take a flattering photo of yourself, so, who better to take direction from than Kim,” he laughed.

Sean, who recently quit showbiz journalism to work in lifestyle and travel TV, he arrived in Tinsel-town in the mid-90s after moving from the UK. Recently it was announced that Netflix TV chiefs in Mumbai want to meet with Sean to discuss potential travel TV opportunities.

Borg, currently known for the Trivago advertisements across Europe, he plans his visit India for business meetings in early 2020.
