Renewing hope for cancer patients in Uttar Pradesh: Nayati Healthcare

Nayati Healthcare’s Centre for Oncology (Cancer) is providing quality cancer treatment in the Braj region

When 65-year-old Ravindra, a resident of Mainpuri, noticed a lump on the inside of his left cheek several years ago, he passed it off as just another mouth ulcer. When the condition worsened, he consulted several doctors, but to no avail. He then went to a hospital in Agra, where the lump was removed by performing a surgery.

However, this was not the end of Ravindra’s woes. The lump grew again and had started bleeding and paining. Upon a suggestion made by an acquaintance, Ravindra made his way to Nayati Healthcare Medicity, Mathura, where he met senior cancer surgeon, Dr. Ravikant Arora.

“After conducting the necessary examination, it was found that he had a large wound on the inside of his cheek, which had turned into a canker with some cancerous (recurrent and residual) tissues, which needed to be operated. After his family’s consent, we conducted a successful surgery and followed it up with radiation sessions. Ravindra is perfectly now,” Dr. Ravikant Arora said.

After emerging a cancer victor, Ravindra is relieved that he had access to quality medical care facilities in his home state itself. “Before I came to Nayati Medicity, I had sought treatment from a hospital in Agra, which turned out to be of no use. Some people suggested me to go to bigger cities like Delhi and Mumbai, but when I met Dr. Ravikant at Nayati, I was confident that I will recover and will not have to travel to another place,” says Ravindra.

He added, “I am satisfied with the treatment I received at Nayati. Before Nayati was established in Mathura, people from Mainpuri had to go to Delhi for advanced medical treatments. But now we are getting all the facilities and treatment closer to home, and that too at a much lower price than Delhi. I personally feel much relieved.”

Ravindra is not the only person who has benefitted from the establishment of a quaternary medical care facility in Mathura. Nayati Healthcare’s oncology department has successfully treated thousands of cancer patients so far, giving them a renewed sense of hope.

Nayati Medicity launched its Centre of Excellence for Cancer November 2017 with internationally trained doctors, a state of the art facility for an end to end treatment of cancer, including the first Bone Marrow Transplant Centre in a Tier 3 city. The hospital has all modern technologies and advanced international protocols for the treatment of cancer.
