Ninja reaches 1 million subscribers on Mixer

Barely five days after starting to broadcast his video games on Mixer, Tyler Blevins, aka Ninja, has passed the bar of a million subscribers.

“I have not felt that good for a long time,” he said on Twitter, announcing the news.

Ninja recently joined Mixer, a live streaming platform owned by Microsoft, after having a phenomenal success on Twitch, a competing service that is owned by Amazon.

To highlight the arrival of the popular broadcaster, Mixer currently allows users to subscribe to its channel for free. The promotion, which will end in two months, would have contributed in part to the craze around the new Ninja chain, according to various specialized sites.

At the end of the promotion, Internet users will have to pay US $ 5.99 per month to avoid losing their subscription to the channel.

Another popular broadcaster, Guy Beahm, aka Dr. DisRespect, recently said he doubted Ninja could be as popular on Mixer after that time.

“I just feel, relying solely on my instinct, that unless [Mixer] attracts other big names, [Ninja] ‘s numbers will go down,” said Beahm during a live broadcast on Twitch.

The popular youtubeur Ethan Klein (h3h3Productions) recently reported having talked with a broadcaster with a high profile on Twitch and that he had been told by him to be in talks with Mixer to join the platform as well, reports The Verge.
