New York City-based Firewatch Service set to Hire 300 Fire Guards after being Awarded a National Contract to Secure Buildings Nationwide
USPA Nationwide Fire Watch Service was awarded a five-year contract to provide firewatch service to government facilities in several states.
Apr 09, 2020 MANHATTAN – NYC based, USPA Nationwide Fire Watch Service, part of the USPA Nationwide Security brand, has procured a national contract in the United States for its Traditional and Hot Work Fire Watch Services based upon recommendations from Fire Marshals in New York, New Jersey, California, Texas, Massachusetts, and Florida.
USPA was awarded a national contract to provide fireguard operations training to other fire watch service companies, as well as firewatch services according to a recent procurement contract notice for NFPA compliant fire guards.
The deal finalized a tentative fiscal 2019 contract that had been held up due to COVID-19 preparation issues, and adds a contract option for fiscal 2020 start date.
Sondae Esposito, USPA’s VP, previously said they had tentative agreements for multiyear firewatch services and training programs, which together estimated could result in the hiring of 300 new fire watch officers and trainers in 2020/2021.
