Mostafa Nouman On Determination And Success

Raised in Dubai, Mostafa Nouman moved to Egypt at the age of 15 with his parents, and even though that was a life-changing experience as he’s used to the Dubai lifestyle and not the Egyptian lifestyle, he didn’t let that stop him from working hard to achieve some of his goals, and instead through hard work and determination he developed many skills including sales, communication, editing, and many more which have allowed him to get to where he is today.

Expected to follow in the path of many others in his family, and become an engineer. While studying for his exams he felt an outrageous amount of stress and started thinking about his future and how he absolutely does NOT want to work for somebody and instead have his own businesses that generate passive income for him. However, while Mostafa was doing this he had a limited monthly allowance of $150 which pressured him into working hard for his own money and doing what he does best.

One of his friends at his old school in Dubai was re-connecting with Mostafa and talked about social media which made him start his very first Instagram page, which was a Fortnite theme page which was a great success, but he’s moved on from that a while back. he knew that Instagram was the current and next big thing in social media.

It got Mostafa thinking, and after a short, while he liked the idea of having a growing Instagram page posting interesting memes, football edits, and many more themed pages he’s created. He kept taking the small allowance from his father but invested it all into the work that he liked doing online which he was sure was going to eventually make him a lot more than he’s invested.

Mostafa is a very early example of what we now know as an “influencer”: someone with a large social media following who is viewed as having some sort of influence. Unlike now, when there is an app for everything, in those early days, it wasn’t known how to raise followers quickly.

Mostafa Nouman did his research and found a few small pages which sold shout outs on Instagram, and so he decided to reach out to them. He paid people to post his content with the idea of him going viral, which did not work in his favors, shout outs do not make you famous unless of course, you get a personal shoutout from The Rock telling all of his followers to follow you, but let’s be realistic here.

Since Mostafa wasn’t as experienced in the beginning, he thought shoutouts were the path to fame, which was an expensive venture. Often Mostafa would spend the entire monthly salary that he gets, his parents were not supportive of the decision at the time and thought he was wasting their money, but he had more than a hunch that this was an opportunity he didn’t want to get away from him. He continued creating content and sharing it with other pages, similar to his own in size so that after a while he no longer had to spend money on growing
his site.

It was a gamble that paid off. Instagram started to become a massive platform, and Mostafa began to receive opportunities to sell posts or shout outs.
