We have all felt in love with an Instagram destination at least once. We’ve all seen those beautiful pictures of Bora Bora, Dubai, and Paris.

And now we’ve found the person responsible for making this happen.

His name? Jean Mouret. His Instagram? @Explorer. His account alone boasts a massive 1.1 Million followers, not to mention the tens of thousands that follow him on Facebook, TikTok, and YouTube.

Q – How long ago did you start your account @explorer?

– Back in late 2016. I was living in Russia during that time and traveling to 2-3 countries per month throughout Europe, that’s when I came up with the idea of building an audience to motivate them to travel like I do.

Q – How many countries have you visited?

– I’ve been to over 30 countries in 5 continents and regions, including the Arctic Circle

Q – What’s been your favorite experience you’ve learned during your travels around the world?

– Realizing how small and insignificant we are compared to this big big world. Even our biggest problems mean nothing compared to the vast and magnificent landscapes this Earth holds.

Q – What’s your favorite hotel in the world?

– It’s hard to mention just one, as I’ve stayed in over a thousand hotels since I can remember. But one of my favorites has to be The Dolder Grand, in Zürich, Switzerland. It’s a massively beautiful hotel, and they treated me like royalty. They picked me up in a Mercedes Benz S Class with onboard wifi and a private chauffeur. So yeah. They rock!

Q – Best fan story you’ve had?

– I once had a guy in my audience who told me that he crossed the entire world to visit a beach he saw in my posts. See the power of social media?

Q – What’s the most viral post you’ve ever had?

– It was a collaboration between Corentin Huard and the Kanuhura Resort in Maldives that I featured. It obtained 14.2 Million views on that post alone. That post definitely helped me get established.

Q – What’s your long term plan on @Explorer?

-I want to become one of the largest travel influencers on Instagram and in the whole social media world. And I know I am close to be!

Q – What’s the most impressive statistic about your account?

– Since I started my career on Instagram, I’ve accumulated over 3.8 Billion impressions. Which is half of the Earth’s population.
