Who we are?
ISSA (International Students Services Association) is a purely non-profit corporation. They serve immigrant students by seeking to encourage the immigrant career planning, refugee, and low-income international students to help achieve post-secondary opportunities via either of our two programs. These two successfully implemented programs are:
- Career readiness
- College readiness
What do we do?
ISSA (International Students Services Association) serves by helping international high school students in the US (non-US citizens) search for the best college or university that matches their requirements and guide them with the necessary future career planning. So other than hooking up to the above-defined programs, students for their higher education can also get in touch with us for college advice. We provide each student with the level of exceptional attention they actually require. We help students with planning their careers, providing them the internships, appropriate application for college, finding their best scholarships, and getting them the financial aid search as well.
How do our programs work?
For a clearer understanding of our available programs, we will explain to them so that international students find it easier to differentiate and decide wisely between both.
- Career readiness program:
This program follows six workshops through which students can have a clearer understanding of exploring their Interests, assessment of their skills, the search for a part-time job, volunteer experiences, internship programs, certification programs, platforms for searching jobs, resume, and cover letters. After taking the workshops the students are already having the most advanced learning skills which are followed by having a portfolio for applying for various jobs.
- College readiness program:
This program has been designed by keeping in view the fact that many students look forward to achieving a higher degree. So for those students, we provide college preparation guidance. By taking this program, students will learn about the application process for college, building a college list and scholarship list, writing college essays, FAFSA & CSS profiles, SAT/ACT & extra-curricular activities, college acceptance offers & decision making.
Hence, after this program, the students will be able to start their college plans by keeping in using their college portfolio.
