How to Fix COD Warzone Dev Error 6068 | PC | NEW 2021!

Some of the COD Warzone players continue to experience Dev Error 6068 at this time. This bug has been continuously affecting many users since Warzone was released. If you have this problem on your computer, this guide can help you fix it.

What is COD Warzone Dev Error 6068?

Call of Duty Warzone can sometimes run into problems and one of the most common they report to us is Dev Error 6068. This error usually occurs when your computer is running outdated game drivers or when Windows is not corrupted.

In other cases, users have reported to us that they were able to fix this issue after successfully reinstalling the Game Bar without making any changes to their system. This may mean that the error can also occur due to a single random error within the game files.

Unlike other development bugs for the Call of Duty franchise, this issue is likely not caused by a bad internet connection or any network related bugs.

What are the reasons for the COD Warzone 6068 development error?

There are a number of possible factors that we have collected over several months since some Warzone players started reporting the issue to us:

Outdated software.

Machines running an older version of Windows 10 are prone to dev errors such as 6068 when COD Warzone is installed. Make sure your PC’s operating system is fully up to date when you want to play Warzone to enjoy the geforce experience.

Game controllers need updates.

Some cases of Dev Error 6068 were fixed after updating the graphics card drivers. Make sure to check the GPU drivers once you’ve updated your computer’s operating system and have a geforce experience.

Random game bug.

Software and games may encounter random bugs and errors occasionally. If Warzone Dev Error 6068 does not occur frequently, it may be due to a random problem with the game.

To decrease the chances of random errors occurring, you will want to keep your PC software environment up to date at all times. This means keeping the operating system and graphics cards running their latest versions all the time.

Damaged game files.

Corrupt or damaged game files are another common cause of many game problems. If Directx encountered an unrecoverable error and this is the one causing Error 6068 on your PC, you may need to remove and reinstall the game. Make sure to download the latest version available. Also check your task manager to see if the game has stopped unexpectedly.

Third-party interference programs.

Some Warzone players have told us that their game started to run erratically after installing a new application on their computer. Try to remember if you recently installed a new program. If it did, try removing it from the system and check if that will fix Warzone Dev Error 6068 or if you have encountered an unrecoverable error. This can also help if Directx encountered an unrecoverable error. Check your task manager’s validation.

1.Install updates. As mentioned above, keeping your software and games up to date can help fix things. The following are things to check for updates:
-games -SO
Windows

2.Modify the VideoMemoryScale option.

A Warzone player told us that he was able to fix Dev Error 6068 by changing the value of the VideoMemoryScale option. Here’s how to do it:
-Open your File Explorer.
-Go Documents \ Call of Duty Modern Warfare \ players
-Open adv_options.ini file using Notepad.
-Find the line that says VideoMemoria Scale and change the value to 0.5

3.Force the game to update. This solution was shared by a user on the official Activision forum. This possible solution removes individual files within the main Call of Duty Modern Warfare installation folder. This is how to do it:
-Close the Call of Duty Warzone game if you have it running.
-Look for the main installation folder of Call of Duty Modern Warfare. The default is usually in C: \ Program Files (x86), but it may be different if you have a different installation path.
-Once you have found the Call of Duty Modern Warfare folder, open it.
– Delete all files inside the folder except Blizzardbrowser, Data and Main.
-Restart the game by launching it from a Battle.net client.
-Once you get the error saying that the game is corrupted, proceed to the update option.

4.Delete the data folder.

The other modified way to force the game to update is by deleting only the data folder and leaving the rest of the folders and files intact. Here’s how:
-Close the Call of Duty Warzone game if you have it running.
-Look for the main installation folder of Call of Duty Modern Warfare. The default is usually in C: \ Program Files (x86), but it may be different if you have a different installation path.
-Once you have found the Call of Duty Modern Warfare folder, open it.
-Delete the data folder.
-Restart the game by launching it from the Battle.net client.
-Once you get the error saying that the game is corrupted, proceed to the update option.

5.Run the game at 30 FPS.

Lowering the frames per second (FPS) of a fast-action game like Warzone is not a solution, but if you’re desperate to fix the Dev 6068 error, it’s worth a try. Your machine may not be able to handle the current FPS settings.
Try to reduce the game’s FPS by following these steps:
-Open Nvidia Control Panel.
-Select Manage 3D Settings.
-Go Program Settings.
-Select the game from the list and set the vertical sync to Adaptive Half Refresh Rate.
-Make sure to confirm the changes and restart the game.
-You can also disable the Nvidia overlay or the Geforce experience if possible.
