Ghost Recon Breakpoint Guide

Charismatic Enemy

One of the greatest attractions of Ghost Recon: Breakpoint is the presence of Walker, a former member of the Ghost who left his ranks to join the enemy army. However, the game builds the storyline through the events of the present and flashbacks of the past. These periods of analepsis help us understand the evolution of the character.

Walker is played by actor Jon Bernthal, well known for his leading role in The Walking Dead. Besides, he also participated as a protagonist in The Punisher, an original Netflix series that was canceled after its second season.

Campaign for up to four players

Ghost Recon: Breakpoint is a title specially designed to play with friends, which does not mean that it is impossible to enjoy it alone. However, the work of Ubisoft Paris prioritizes collaboration between partners (up to four), so that communications are essential if we want to address the missions with due precision.

Although the gala company announced that we could not count on fellow bots, the study has announced that it is working on it. The truth is that Ghost Recon: Wildlands did introduce them as standard, so there were people who complained when it was confirmed that this option would disappear. Fortunately, the feedback has been heard and the suggestions are taken well.

Compared to other Ubisoft shooters, such as Far Cry, this proposal is committed to more realistic gameplay. Freed from the humorous tone of Wildlands, Breakpoint offers more tactics, which is reflected, for example, in the possibility of camping to prepare weapons and obtain a series of advantages. We are not facing a survival game, but small mechanics are implemented in that direction.

The wounds affect the performance in combat, to the point that the characters move very slowly and visibly sore when blood flows through their skin. The stamina bar also determines the fatigue of the protagonist, which by the way, can be masculine and feminine (Nomad, which is called that, is created by an editor at the beginning of the game).

Cross progression and PvP modes

As a novelty, Ghost Recon: Breakpoint has cross-progression between the different game modes. This means that everything we get in the campaign, as well as the configuration of our Nomad,  will remain intact. The game invites us to collect resources, weapons, and equipment to strengthen the character. On the other hand, it is possible to choose between the different classes ( Medical, Assault, Sniper, and Panther ) once we unlock them. Not surprisingly, a complete skill tree has been implemented.

Ghost War mode allows us to enjoy submodels such as Elimination and Sabotage. The first consists of a deathmatch, that is, killing all enemies. Sabotage, meanwhile, challenges us to place a bomb on the enemy bases or prevent the rival from doing the same.
