Born from the creative minds of Medical Director, Dr. Arash Hakhamian at Dentulu and, Co-Founder, Program-Director Avi Kerendian of GGHTx, the telehealth community is excited by the prospect of a new partnership that will bring underserved communities much healthcare reform. GGHTx is an active public health nonprofit organization that aims at improving healthcare of less privileged communities, through free medical and dental mission trips funded by volunteers themselves.

As GGHTx has an end goal of providing self-sufficiency to said communities, GGHTx and Dentulu will join forces in the next few months to help create a positive impact on communities in Latin America and Uganda through free telehealth access for all. They will achieve their goal by helping these communities’ access health and dental care, at the highest medical and legal standards, through the proprietary, free telehealth platform access that will be available for all, along with their free mission trip visits with medical and dental volunteers.

The importance of telepath is especially useful at this time given the current Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. Telehealth is the use of electronic information and communication technologies, such as mobile phones and computers to provide access to health care services from remote locations that will also provide for patients’ healthcare needs. These are digital ways for patients and doctor to use this service from the comfort of their own home to make health care services more efficient, easily-accessible, and cheaper for all involved.

Dentulu and GGHTx will now help people who live in remote or isolated communities to easily access these health care resources, that are readily available for underserved patients with limited movement capabilities, lack of transportation, and little money for doctor/dentist visits. The provision of support for self-management of health care  and improved communication and coordination of care between a patient and health care team members will now facilitate and transform access to medical specialists for those undeserved communities.

About GGHTx

GGHTx is a global health nonprofit organization with a mission to reach out to extremely underprivileged communities, in partnership with community based organizations (CBO’s), to offer and support supplementary health care services.

Poverty-health eradication is a monumental task, but under the able leadership of the Medical Director, Dr. Arash Hakhamian and Program Director, Avi Kerendian, GGHTx is committed to reaching out to creating a change in those areas that totally lack or have few medical facilities. GGHTx — for the past three years — has visited remote, inaccessible, and poverty ridden areas like Guatemala, Mexico, and Uganda.

Avi Kerendian, the Program Director and Co-Founder of GGHTx, together with volunteer doctors, dentists, and support staff have left  a positive impact on the lives of these communities. To date, their services have provided medical and dental relief to over thousands of patients, 70% of whom are young women and children.

From the sponsored Vitafusion Health Campaign in Latin American to the GGHTx + Zidan Benevolene International – The Stigma Project in Uganda, these directors have shown love and care to communities by not only providing vital health care services but, at the same time, by also creating a fun, public health education program for kids in these locations.

Likewise, they’re still determined to hold the mantle high by continuing with their mission trips to reach other neglected communities, by continuing to provide basic health care, improved sanitary conditions, and access to trained, US licensed doctors and dentists.
