Family day out in Dubai Desert Safari

In recent years, the city of Dubai has become one of the most complete cities in terms of infrastructure and tourist attractions such as Burj Khalifa , Burj al Arab and even shopping centers such as the Dubai Mall itself, among others.

The United Arab Emirates has some of the best sand dunes in the world. Visiting the desert in Dubai and Abu Dhabi is an unforgettable experience where not only activities are carried out in the sand but also various species of animals can be contemplated.

What is a desert safari in Dubai like?

A desert safari is one of the most popular excursions or tours among visitors to Dubai where unique adventures and experiences are lived among the desert dunes. Depending on each visitor’s taste and availability, desert activities in Dubai such as taking photos, riding camels, enjoying Dubai cuisine, a beautiful Tanoura dance or belly dancing show, etc. can be done.

Activities that can be done in the desert in Dubai

•          To camp. Fabric shops or stands in the best Arabic style. There you will live your own Bedouin experience while enjoying tea.

•          Things to do in dubai, enjoy a dance show. Either Tanoura dance (typical Egyptian dance), or the famous belly dance. These presentations are always part of the break after a day of desert safari in Dubai while enjoying a BBQ dinner.

•          Play sports in the sand . Sports such as sandboarding, sand skiing, quad biking, stargazing (stargazing) and dune bashing can be enjoyed on excursions to the desert.

•          Ride a camel or an air balloon. Going on a camel ride in the middle of the desert is a unique experience as well as touring a large part of the desert and enjoying the view of the dunes.

What to wear on a desert excursion in Dubai

•          The ideal clothes to go to the desert should be casual and comfortable. It is recommended to wear cotton or linen clothing (shirts, T-shirts, pants or shorts) and cover the arms as much as possible to protect the skin from both the sun and the sand

•          It is essential for any expedition to the desert to wear a pair of lightweight and breathable hiking boots. Preferably cloth boots rather than leather for maximum breathability and minimal weight

•          It is also essential to bring a jacket or jacket to wear in the afternoons, as it is very cold in the desert once the sunset begins

•          Among the accessories that cannot be missing are glasses, hat and sunscreen

What not to wear on a desert excursion in Dubai

•          As much as possible avoid tight clothing that makes movement difficult either for walking or playing sports

•          It is recommended not to wear open shoes as sand can enter them and thus make it difficult to walk between the desert dunes, in addition to hurting the feet.

Dubai Marina

One of Dubai’s most exclusive neighbourhoods, Dhow cruise Dubai Marina is set on a two-mile stretch of pristine sand facing the Arabian Gulf. As gleaming yachts bob gently and towering skyscrapers glitter in the desert sun, locals and visitors wander palm-lined promenades, shop in glamorous boutiques and dine al fresco by elegant fountains. It’s here that Jumeirah Living Marina Gate, our new, dynamic destination for urban living, opened its doors in early September 2020. When you’re not relaxing in one of its spacious residential suites, discover the best things to see and do at Dubai Marina.

Hit the beach

Dubai Marina’s two primary beaches are The Beach and The Beach at Jumeirah Beach Residence (JBR). Both are family-friendly, with activities for children ranging from inflatable waterparks to miniature trains and even camel rides, yet offer plenty for adults, too. Relax in a cabana between dips in the sea; top up your tan during a game of beach volleyball; take to the waves on a jetski or wakeboard; or browse the waterside markets. When it’s time for refreshments, be seated at any number of chic restaurants and bars offering tempting fare with Emirati flair. Prefer to swim in a pool rather than the sea? Jumeirah Living Marina Gate’s very own 23-metre infinity pool, fringed by foliage and overlooking the ocean, is the perfect place to cool off.

Stroll Dubai Marina

Lining the main waterway are broad boulevards ideal for a scenic walk or invigorating jog. Make a loop along the coast, past the marina spotting superyachts berthed at Dubai’s International Marine Club, passing sunbathers on the sands towards Zero Gravity Beach Club, where skydivers and parachutists add a dash of contrasting colour to blue skies. Alternatively, pick up a bicycle and glide along the cosmopolitan canalside and along The Walk, as every bridge and path have a dedicated lane for two-wheeled explorers.

Shop at Dubai Marina Mall

Set across four floors, Dubai Marina Mall is fairly modest by Dubai’s own palatial standards, yet the range of stores on offer won’t disappoint. In the cool of its marbled halls, discover haute couture and high street fashion, organic beauty brands and bespoke jewellers, as well as waterside cafes, restaurants and the 6-screen Reel Cinemas, a popular place to see the latest Hollywood hits.

Take a sunset cruise

Step aboard a luxury boat and take in the stunning sight of the sun sinking as you glide along Marina Canal and through Palm Lagoon. A glass of Champagne in hand, admire the city skyline as you pass landmarks including the Burj Al Arab, the grand gate of the Atlantis and the superyachts casually moored in Dubai Marina. Longer cruises can also be had for those seeking to drink and dance the night away to a backdrop of smartly-lit skyscrapers reflecting on the gentle waves.

Two Must-Visit Countries For Nature Lovers

Two Must-Visit Countries For Nature Lovers

Nature Lovers

There are so many beautiful places around the Earth, and we travelers want to see them all. While many aspire to visit modern cities such as New York or Tokyo or to have a vacation at one of the best resorts in the world in Macau or Monaco, others prefer to spend their time with nature. In this post, we are going to discuss the most amazing countries for you to visit if you want to see all the colors and wildness this world has to offer.

Mountains and hills, lakes and rivers, forests and jungles, landscapes and seas, they are all waiting for you to see them with their own eyes. For us, those who cannot live without Nature, the marvel of Earth is never-ending. Nothing is quite like feeling your most primordial instincts; our ancestors walked the same Earth as we do now, and they have crossed the same mountain paths and roads that are now available to you.

New Zealand

The diversity of nature and its uniqueness in this isolated country is unmatched by any other in the world. A third of its land is national parks and natural resorts. That’s 33% roughly speaking. Know any other place that can brag about a number that high? The Wilderness is always near, with thousands of picturesque and green locations for your choosing. There are grand mountains, with ranges spanning all over the country. Some of them are active volcanoes!

Colossal panoramic coastlines, with both public and wild beaches, are quite popular here as well. The ocean is surrounding the islands, so it’s no surprise that it’s one of the most frequent leisure activities for the locals. You can surf, swim, walk by the seaside, and do whatever else you desire in New Zealand. It’s a free country after all.

There are also many distinctive sights that separate this land from any other. The most beautiful fjords you can find in the world, are located exactly at this destination. There are also plenty of exuberant rainforests, vast green plains, and natural attractions such as Geysers, mud pots, and steamy lakes.

On my frequent travels, I always meet wonderful people with whom I keep in touch. A friend I met in Dubai recently went on a long trip to New Zealand, where it’s actually cold in the summer and he wasn’t too prepared for that. He wrote a detailed outline of when it’s best to visit the country, check it out on arabic-traveler.com. It’s absolutely worth letting your browser translate that for a few seconds (a feature most applications have now).

South Africa

Truly nature’s lover destination, this country has over a thousand wild reserves and parks.

This nation can offer you the biggest diversity in all of Africa’s continent. It has forests, mountains, deserts, and savannas. These are just to name a few! Such an abundance of wildlife can only be found here: you have the usual lions, elephants, buffalos, leopards, and rhinos all over the place.

I would be heading to the capital first (there are actually three), Cape Town, and starting on exploring this new world with the most known hiking trails there. The Drakensberg mountains are a thrilling experience by themselves, but adding on top the highest waterfall in all Africa? You can’t possibly miss that. If you visit in the Spring, you also get the opportunity to view all the beautiful flower fields blooming, and that’s an experience that can’t be swapped out by anything else. In general, spring and summer are the best times to visit, even if it’s hotter.

There are plenty of opportunities for kayaking, driving through the safari, and actually diving into the sea as it’s one of the best places to do that. One of the best road trips I took personally was the Garden Route in South Africa. I will never forget it, and the pictures that were taken there speak louder than any other words anyone can utter.

Final Thoughts

I believe these two are countries that everyone must visit at least once during their lifetime. The weather is gorgeous; they are quite affordable (if you don’t count the tickets to NZ), there is both amazing nature and beaches, delicious food (vastly different between the two), and astonishing views that you will remember forever.

No matter what kind of experience you are looking for, in these two countries you will find it. You can ride horseback, surf, lay at the beaches, go on multiple hiking trips and anything else your heart desires. Here is a list of things you must do on your next trip.

 Outdoor Activities:

 Cycling

Their Premier Fitness Spin program is very popular. , many people use spin classes for their fitness workouts. Rather than go to the gym in a time when we can’t, why not just hop on a bike and ride for a day of exercise? The same stress and work will be put into riding a bike, and the training of your hamstrings, shins, buttocks, muscles, and quads will be replicated when riding a bike in the great outdoors. If you are so inclined, use your bike as your primary source of transportation. The result will see that a person will burn at least 240 calories for every 30 minutes spent on a bike riding at a somewhat intense pace.

Swimming

A great cardio exercise, a dip in the pool, has many excellent benefits for a participant. Exercising every major muscle group in your body helps keep you toned and taught, and swimming is one exercise that comes with the pleasure of refreshment after a session. When you swim at a moderate  pace, know that you can burn up to 270 calories for 30 minutes in the water.

 Power Walking, jogging and Running

The great outdoors are terrific for the best exercise of all-running. The Premier Fitness Running Program is a great step-by-step method of getting started.

1. You can start with a gentle walk every day around the block and increase the distance every week until you are completing one mile.

2. Once you can easily complete one mile, you can increase the intensity level by taking long power strides for more muscular and cardiovascular stimulation.

3. Once you are in better physical shape you can increase the level of intensity by transitioning to jogging the one mile route.

4. When jogging becomes easy, you can start timing each session by transitioning from jogging to faster running.

5. As your conditioning improves you will be able to run the full mile whereby you try to improve your time on each run.

 6. After you master running the mile you can slowly start increasing the distance each month until you build up to running 2 miles at a good pace.

 Rollerblading

For some people who remember roller-skating, rollerblading is the evolution of that fun Saturday night activity. If you rollerblade, you have glutes to die for, as the exercise certainly puts your buttocks muscles on notice. Thighs will appreciate the work also as they tighten and become firm with every stride you take. Rollerblading briskly can yield excellent results, 250 calories burned in a 30-minute tour.

Hiking and yoga hiking

If you seek strength training and a cardio workout rolled into one exercise session, hiking will help with ab definition, glute firming and build stamina. The vista when hiking is one part of the refreshing outdoor activity that many have embraced. The strenuous activity of climbing a hill is rewarded with the view from the top. When we think of yoga and hiking, the mind-body benefits are only too apparent. Take a 60-minute walk, then engage in some basic yoga poses for a refreshing exercise routine that keeps your mind and body in sync. Hiking will get 220 calories burned for a 30-minute walk, and for a 60-minute yoga hike, you can burn over 400 calories for the engagement.

Street workout

Reliving your past as a child can have excellent exercise benefits when you use your local park when it becomes your outdoor gym. Use the jungle gym to burn fat, tone muscles through the use of the street workout. Old school exercises like chin-ups, push-ups, and step-ups are an excellent substitute for exercise machines at the gym, and in the fresh air, the exercise becomes a pleasure, not a chore. A 30-minute activity session can see a person burn 430 calories for 30-minutes spent in the park working out.

Outdoor exercise is the best way to maintain a positive outlook during this pandemic. What could be more enjoyable than sunshine, fresh air, and a good vigorous workout?

Designing A Pergola? Here Are Some Ideas You Should Consider

Pergola

Pergolas are structures with a roof and pillars attached to a patio. It provides shelter from sun and rain and can be a place to relax and enjoy the evening or host visitors. Pergolas are an extension of the traditional living space. As such, proper planning and design should go into setting it up.

Pergola design ideas have become in high demand recently. If you desire to create an outdoor area in your backyard, there are factors to consider. Choose a pergola design that would fit the size and structure of your front yard, and then plan on how to set it up. Available in an assortment of shapes and sizes, pergola-style outdoor structures will provide an intimate atmosphere while spending time outdoors. Pergolas give the yard a more traditional look, with designs made of wood or metal pieces and corresponding furniture. Here are some guides and ideas for designing your pergola.

  1. Choose the Right Materials

There are different materials for pergola design ideas. First, to construct a pergola, you would need pergola kits. The traditional option is made of wood, but there are now alternatives such as bamboo, aluminum, and steel. Choose the material that will best complement your outdoor space and keep in mind the seasons in your area. Choose a design and color that will withstand the changing seasons and still look good. Consider the use of a trellis system to create the structure of your pergola.

These trellises can be free-standing or attached to other structures such as a brick wall. Trellises come in many shapes, sizes, and styles, and each can be decorated in ways that suit the rest of the landscape. As a bonus, many designs include a built-in partial shade structure that allows you to still enjoy a bit of shade even on a hot day. This structure can either be attached to the roof or free standing if preferred.

This trellis can be curved, straight, or even placed in an arch shape. In addition, these trellises are also often decorated so that they provide an addition to the beauty of the surroundings. Various materials are often used to design frames for these patio and backyard pergolas, including slate, bamboo, and iron.

  1. Pick the Design

Once you have determined which type of pergola design ideas will work best for you, then it is time to select the style of the roof, support beams, and other structural details. It is essential to follow all local building codes, so you can plan the placement of your pergola to meet all code requirements. The location of your patio will play a significant role in determining the type of pergola that you will want to build. If you have limited space available in your front yard, that will affect the design and structure. For example, a three-sided form might look cozy, but it would be too small to contain a table for a small gathering.

Several great pergola design ideas incorporate functional and simple materials that you can purchase from almost any home improvement store. The most common materials that are used to build these structures include wood, aluminum, and even concrete.

  1. Structure

With various sizes and shapes, pergola designs can offer a cozy retreat while still having a delicious snack outside. Remember to buy materials for the roofing. By shading the structure, your pergola can receive a very minimal amount of sunlight each day. This will reduce the risk of damage because of overheating from direct sunlight, especially during hot, sunny afternoons. The shade will also keep insects from flying freely inside the structure.

If your existing roof is not strong enough to support larger pergolas, consider installing a lattice to hold the upper beams in place. Lattice will provide much-needed structural support.

Pergolas can also be made with durable materials such as wood, iron, or aluminum. However, these materials are not as attractive as those made of stone, aluminum, or vinyl. For pergola design ideas that emphasize the beauty of the landscape beyond the patio, consider building a walkway or paved path to the main structure.

  1. Decoration

You can decorate pergolas with flowers, vines, and other lush plants that provide flowers and greenery all season long. Choose what best suits your budget and then start buying. Plant flowers or bushes directly along the sides of the structure and add planters to provide a sheltered location for planting.

If you need additional shade, consider installing tall-growing trees to provide shadows over the area where you intend to place the pergola. Consider also choosing different styles of pergolas, such as arbor style, or lattice style, etc.

  1. Furniture

In choosing the type of furniture for your pergola, you should keep in mind the functions it will provide. Most pergolas are placed on the patio to provide shade and a place for people to dine. However, you can also use them as a storage unit to store extra items. In this case, you can get storage furniture like storage ottomans or storage benches.

You would also need a dining or seating area. Pergola furnishings may include sofas, dining sets, love seats, center tables, or daybeds. If you need a canopy swing or hamper, you can get one made of wood and sturdy materials. The frame should be strong enough to handle the weight of the swing and the occupant’s weight.

It will be a good idea to include a bench in your design. This will be ideal for events or hosting friends. This will also be a good idea if you want to have plants on it. In this case, you can use built-in planters. If you desire the pergola to be the focal point of your garden, you can place wicker outdoor chairs or tables in it.

Conclusion

Pergolas make great additions to any outdoor room, whether it is on a deck, in the garden, or in your backyard. By adding a few attractive pergola design ideas, you can enhance the look of your outdoor space without spending too much money. Keep in mind that outdoor structures are outside. Take care to choose furnishings that will withstand the elements. You won’t want to come back from your trip to the beach to find your deck, sofa, and chairs destroyed by the weather.
