DDOS Overwatch Classic
A heavy blizzard revealed that the authorities arrested a suspect Perpetrator Behind Last Week World of Warcraft Classic. The latest World of War Classic server affected by DDOS on September 7th and 8th.
After the incident, the developer promised that his security team would work 24 hours a day to not only find a solution but also to make sure the author was arrested.
“We know that the authorities were able to identify and arrest the suspect within days.”
However, little is known about the suspect. It is not known where the suspect was arrested and whether he remains in detention. Moreover, the cause of the attack is not yet known, but the investigators may be on the verge of breaking into the puzzle.
The order of events can be attributed to a Reddit publication. The user has indicated that he will attack all PvP World of Warcraft servers in the United States. In fact, a server attack caused the performance degradation when servers were duplicated. It was on the 7th of September.
Users reported an automatic server startup despite existing connections. At 2:20 GMT, a blizzard confirmed the worst fears of a DDOS attack. The pirate group UkDrillas gave the responsibility for the attack.
That did not stop here. The next day, September 8, two more DDOS attacks were reported, this time involving other Blizzard games, including Overwatch, as the user had promised Reddit. In fact, the second attack stopped showing Overwatch League on Twitch. Do not forget that the group also boasted piracy Twitch and even Wikipedia.
DDOS is banned in the US, UK, and many other countries. Here in the United States, in the United States, the Computer Abuse and Computer Fraud Act (CFAA) violates the Computer Abuse Act of 1990. In both countries, DDOSing faces heavy penalties.
This is not the first time that the video game industry has been affected by DDOS attacks. Dota 2, League of Legends, and Battle.net are just a few of the victims of these attacks. In July, notorious DerpTrolling hackers were sentenced to 27 months in jail for their attacks on the Daybreak Game Company, formerly known as Sony Online Entertainment.
