Chicago Rapper G Herbo Bribes Mexican Police with $4000 for Flying High

Chicago Rapper

Weed is a consciousness-altering medicinal plant famously associated with rap music, where some of the famous videos even showcase the ‘sticky icky.’ However, rappers express their love for weed in different ways. Some choose to invest in companies that produce weed legally, while others choose to transport it illegally. For example, there is no online smoke shop guide in Mexico yet, but it’s sure to come. But if you want to smoke weed in Mexico, make sure you don’t follow the example of Chicago-based rapper G Herbo.

Flying High

Rapper G Herbo recently learned that Mexico doesn’t play games when it comes to weed. The rapper thought it was better if he took 2 ounces of his own weed for his trip. Unfortunately, he was met by police at the airport who found the marijuana in his luggage.

In a video G Herbo uploaded to his Twitter, the rapper films himself walking outside of the airport. He looks straight into the camera and gives his audience an account of what just happened:

“Guess what just happened to me, y’all… 10 minutes into the trip, as soon as I landed, these b*tches just went in all over my sh*t… I was about to go to jail. They said ‘how much money you got on you?’, $2000, all-american, so that’s really $20,000 to them! And they just finessed the f*ck out of me. They said ‘Oh yeah, they told me they found a weed pen, they said they’re trying to send us home…”

Weed Business

Meanwhile, many rappers are entering the cannabis industry as investors and spokesmen. This includes Shawn ‘Jay-Z’ Carter’s Caliva mary jane boutique or Berner’s cookie strain. In particular, Jay-Z went into the business in the hope of helping people affected by the War on Drugs.  Company officials commented on the famous rapper’s involvement:

“In this position, Mr. Carter will focus on and work to increase the economic participation of citizens returning from incarceration — many of whom are not seeing the monetary benefits of legalization — through advocacy, job training, and overall employee and workforce development.”

Other rappers such as Wiz Khalifa, chose to dive into the weed business by designing their own strains. Leafly product description for Khalifa Kush describes the strain as a specially bred hybrid designed according to the Wiz himself. While the strain is currently not available to the public, there have been sources who describe the profile of the strain as similar to OG Kush. This includes hints of lemon and pine that leaves you with an active buzz to use during the daytime.

This could be a popular trend with musicians and celebrities who are definitely well-educated in weed. Since the drug has permeated so deeply into popular culture, governments worldwide are looking into its legalization. This is why many rappers are getting a head-start and investing in companies that may well explode as soon as weed is legal in the U.S.

Expensive Mistakes

But that’s not all. Not only did G Herbo bribe the officers with two-thousand dollars out of his own pocket, it turns out his security did too:

“$4000! They just charged my damn security too. We just paid $4000 to get away, they’re just bribing, they’re talking about weed and smuggling, they said it’s a fine. They said ‘Oh no, you can’t pay the fine, you’re gonna go to jail now. It’s too much, it’s more than 5 grams.’ Give them the $2000 then, f*ck it. They took all of my weed, I’m mad as hell.”

There is one way the Chi-Town rapper can skip all of the drama. Simply do what most are doing in places where MJ’s not yet legal. Scoop Charlotte’s web coupon code and try CBD oils or products.  It’s just as natural and will calm the nerves of the Chiraq ghetto survivor.
