Today we had a great time with the famous yet young guitarist, Kazuki tokaji. He is an ultimate instrument scientist. Unluckily we had a short time together yet we had an amazing conversation. Let us share it with you guys too.

So Kazuki, tell us more about you and your journey of stepping into this profession?

“My name is Kazuki tokaji, I was born in 1995. I am from Japan. I grew up there and started playing guitar when I was too young and got my first guitar at that very age. I am a session guitarist, demonstrator, guitar teacher. Also, I play guitar for a singer, band, music festival & event.  I was barely seven years old when I used to play guitar. This love of music kept increasing with time as I had a great passion for music.”

So what is your music genre?

“Well, I am a professional lead and rhythm guitarist who specializing in pop, rock, and metal. Also, I am an award-winning guitarist and now I almost have an experience of 17 years of playing guitar.”

Is there any influencer who inspired you?

“Yeah. These are, Prominently, MR. Big, Dream Theater, and Skid Row & Kazuya Yoshii.”

So do you play with the random instrument or are there any specific ones that you use?

“Yeah I use the selective instrument, just like Hughes & Kettner equipment that includes:

  • Grandmaster deluxe 40
  • TM 212
  • FSM -432 MK III
  • TRIAMP MARK

“I must say that Hughes & Kettner’s Triamp is the best amp ever made. Since I was a little child, I always wanted to play one and now it’s like a big dream of mine has come true. I am an endorser for GHS strings company & Hughes & Kettner.”

We have come across knowing that you studied music. Is that true? Also, we have heard you worked with many big names of the industry-

“Yeah, I studied music too. It was about 2017 when I started studying at the musician’s institute in Hollywood and also I performed with some famous musicians as a student. Some famous names from these are Steve Vai, Marty Friedman, Julia Lage, Hedras Ramos, Tim piece and Masaya Muro”.

You have come a long way in your successful career. What recognition did you observe in your music career?

Well as a solo artist I toured a lot and also made several appearances on T.V on the national level. Also, I appeared on the radio. I was also a guest at various Los Angeles events, one of them was the sunset jam and the other was Jam Night.

You have been extremely excited about your latest single lately, what is it about, tell us something about it, please!!

Yes, I have recently released my newest single. It was a collaboration between keyboardist Derek Sheinian of Sons of Apollo & Kitsune drummer Sebastian Konnnackel and me. you can also say that it is a metal song with a real edge. Do listen to it and share it with your friends too. Everyone is going to love it. My track will be seen exploring the sentiments of loss and uncertainty of overcoming grief.

It also features my signature hard-driving guitar stylings. It perfectly blends the rhythm and blues and punk rock. It is available on iTunes, Spotify & elsewhere.
