Alec Baldwin sued the man with whom he entered a parking dispute

Alec Baldwin will speak at the Santa Barbara International Film Festival in California on January 31, 2018.

(CNN) Alec Baldwin sues the man who fought for a parking lot and claims that the man lied to the police about the meeting and made defamatory statements about the actor.

In a lawsuit filed on Friday, Baldwin’s lawyers said that Wojciech Cieszkowski wrongly told police that Baldwin struck him in the face during a parking dispute in New York in 2018, leading to the actor’s arrest.

“When two New Yorkers talk about a parking lot, they usually exchange sharp words and then move on with their lives, but it didn’t happen here,” the lawsuit says. “Instead, Cieszkowski invented a fake story about the meeting and refused to continue unless Baldwin gave in to his exorbitant demands.”

Cieszkowski sued Baldwin in March of this year because the actor “assaulted him violently” and hit him in the face. Cieszkowski said he suffered physical pain and mental trauma as a result of the dispute. He claims that Baldwin “hit him in the chest with both hands” and then “hit” his left jaw.

In May, the plaintiff filed a motion to dismiss the lawsuit against him. He had a video that showed he had never hit Cieszkowski in the face. The case is currently pending Baldwin’s request for a court ruling.

Baldwin says he didn’t hit the man

In the lawsuit filed by Baldwin on Friday, actor Cieszkowski alleges he exaggerated his injuries. While Cieszkowski accused the actor of “pushing him hard in the chest with both hands,” Baldwin gently gripped the man with only one hand.

Baldwin admitted he beat Cieszkowski a second time but said he didn’t hit him.

“Cieszkowski wants a fortune to repair his alleged wounds from this attack,” he says in the lawsuit. “But the doctors who saw him immediately after the incident thought he needed at most a dose of Tylenol.”

Baldwin claims that he was harmed by false and defamatory statements made by Cieszkowski to law enforcement agencies, the media, and the public.

Cieszkowski’s lawyer, Doug Lieb, responded to the lawsuit in a statement from CNN.

“We see Mr. Baldwin’s absurd request as a desperate tactic to silence Mr. Cieszkowski,” Lieb said. “Mr. Cieszkowski is not deterred from bringing Mr. Baldwin to justice for his intimidation, and Mr. Cieszkowski is waiting his day in front of a jury of simple people like him.”

Baldwin’s lawyer, Luke Nikas, made additional requests for comment on the trial.

Baldwin pleaded guilty in January

Following the November 2018 incident, Baldwin was arrested and charged with attempted third-degree harassment and second-degree harassment. In January, Baldwin pleaded guilty to harassment, a prosecutor in Manhattan said.

Because violating New York law was not a crime, the actor served a sentence and was not granted parole, even though he had to participate in a short-term anger management program.

Baldwin was good news for his temper in the past.

In 2011, the “30 Rock” actor was fired from a flight with American Airlines, after refusing to turn off his cellphone to leave. The following year he conflicted with a photographer after receiving a marriage certificate with his fiancé, then Hilaria Thomas.

And in 2014, the actor was arrested in New York, after police said he misused his bicycle on a street and shouted at police.
