#2 Tricia “Dr. T” Alampi


Dr. T, a PhD turned CEO of STAR Team Agency a public relations firm. She’s the agent for renowned motivational speaker Charles “Silk” Dunn and up-and-coming artist Thomas DaVinci. Her organization is behind several performances, parties, and exhibits for Chicago’s NBA All-Star Weekend 2020. Dr. T’s 20/20 global immersions project, provides 10-15 black and minority college students with study abroad immersion fellowships of $5,000 –
$7,500.

Arlan is the woman behind the funding for black startups. Arian started her own venture capitalist fund called Backstage Capital upon noticing it was much harder for people of color to get funding.
